Savills has appointed Nicolás Llari de Sangenis as financial asset director at its office in Madrid.

Nicolás will be responsible for strengthening Savills relationship with both domestic and international financial institutions based in Spain as well as advising investment funds on the sale of non-performing loans (NPLs) on real estate portfolios. The position is a newly created role as part of Savills strategy to extend its service offering particularly towards financial institutions in the Spanish market.

Nicolás joins from CBRE where he worked for 10 years in the firm’s capital markets department as managing director of financial institutions.  Some key clients Nicolás has worked for include Bankinter, Banco Banif, Santander and Banco Popular, among others.

Rafael Merry del Val, head of Savills Spain, says: “Now is the ideal moment to bring in Nicolás who has a great deal of experience working with financial institutions and portfolio transactions.  He will be responsible for developing a network of sales from a regional to national level for this type of client and asset, a sector in which residential properties have an increasingly significant role.  He will work closely with both international and local Spanish investors.”
